Hello! My name is Tanja Hofmann and I am the owner of A Taste of Germany. My family and I are originally from Frankfurt, Germany. There I was a pastry chef for over 10 years. In 2010 my family and I decided to move to Sarasota, Florida to pursue my dream of opening up my very own restaurant and of course the warmer weather.
Before we moved to Florida in 2010 we begin to look for places to open a restaurant. I wanted to open up my own cafe/bakery where I could serve breakfast, lunch, a variety of freshly baked goods and more.
In 2011 when we moved to Sarasota, Florida my husband (Manuel), my son (Robin), and myself opened up A Taste of Germany on Siesta Key. After a few years of being open I decided to experiment with my baking. The atmosphere around me were mostly bars, so I tried something to draw attention to everyone who loves to drink and eat. I created my very own liquor cakes. These cakes are more unique than you would think. I now have created over 65 different flavors.
We continue to grow each year and hope to give everyone who visits us a great experience!
We have also changed our name to Hofmann's Liquor Cake's made by A Taste Of Germany.
